The requalification proposal responds to the challenges and concerns of the present with a future outlook. On the one hand, the main goal is preserving Martim Moniz's character as an aggregating center opened to its surroundings, with a multiple but unique identity in the city. On the other hand, it is also promoting the quality of life of its inhabitants in the various areas identified, with emphasis on the environmental point of view, which translates into the promotion of the biodiversity and the prominence of the hydrological cycle, as a general strategy for the transformation and evolution of the urban public space.
